On August 14, 2006, multi-award winner, highly respected & versatile singer Sukhwinder Singh interacted with students at Whistling Woods International

Arriving as a surprise guest at the students ‘Music Appreciation’ class conducted by D Wood, Sukhwinder interacted for over an hour with the faculty and students of WWI at the Pelicula Auditorium on the WWI campus.

The conversation included how a singer should alter his voice and personality while doing ‘playback singing’ as opposed to singing for oneself, the concept of ‘Naad’, when to use an ‘alaap’, when to use a ‘tarana’, etc..

Sukhwinder’s responses were crystal clear. He simplified playback singing, something that is not so simple. Further, the humility displayed during he extremely candid conversation with students, was exemplary. He delved into personal moments in his career and elaborated on matters that have enabled him to become the singer he is today.
