Sivamani Thunders At Whistling Woods On Its 1st Anniversary

On the occasion of the 1st anniversary of Whistling Woods International, Institute for Film, TV, Animation & Media Arts, over 200 students, who are currently pursuing courses in Direction, Animation, Acting, Production, Screenwriting, Sound, Editing and Cinematography and several industry professionals were enthralled by India’s Ace percussionist – Sivamani. On the occasion, Meghna Ghai-Puri, President of WWI welcomed and honoured several industry leaders like Directors Govind Nihalani and Kundan Shah, Anil Kapoor as a producer for ‘Gandhi, My Father’, Jackie Shroff as an acting protégé of Mukta Arts, Anuradha Prasad for her TV work, Manmohan Shetty for his work as a corporate head (of Adlabs), Ramesh Taurani and Kishen Kumar for music, Sukhvinder Singh as a singer and Ali Peter John for his significant contribution to media.
Also in attendance were Farah Khan, Manish Goswami, Vikas Mohan, Zayed Khan and several respected members of the media.
“The success of the very 1st year of WWI would not have been possible without the support of the industry - film-makers, actors and technicians who shared their knowledge as guest speakers with students almost on a weekly basis. We are indebted to them for encouraging the next generation of film-makers’’ said Subhash Ghai.
