It has been yet another busy semester for the students of Whistling Woods International. As their class work has jumped from one major film project to the next, the flow of visitors and guest faculty to the institute has been likewise unrelenting.
Together, Anil Kapoor and Feroz Khan took students through the production of Gandhi My Father. Madhur Bhandarkar conducted his first guest faculty session on socially relevant cinema. Gulzar spent hours with the students, sharing his experiences. Steve Barron, the legendary music video director responsible for Michael Jackson’s unique videos, flew in from U.S. for a master class on song picturisation. Shimit Amin shared his secrets of directing a successful sports film. Madhuri Dixit spent time with the acting students.
Rakyesh Mehra, David Dhawan, Kamlesh Pandey, Amitabh Bachchan, Govind Nihalani, B.R. Chopra, the Governor of china and many other dignitaries, all spent time teaching, exploring the campus and interacting with students.
