All students of Whistling Woods International students, at the end of their 1st year, are encouraged to undergo a 6-week internship which is provided to them by WWI. This is a well structured process wherein the students fill out internship profile dockets and, in-fact, interview with these organisations before commencing the internships. The internships are primarily structured for them to have an exposure to the real-time working conditions and gain experiences that they would only in leading media houses in India
The Animation students are presently interning with Anrights Infomedia Private Limited, Red Chillies, Crest Communications – all leaders in the Animation and Visual Effects space.
Mukta Arts Limited, Rajshri, Percept Picture Company, Prime Focus, Mirchi Movies, Channel [V] are organisations where students from the live-action side of WWI are presently interning.
Adds Subhash Ghai, “Such interactions with the Industry are a key component of the 2-year program at Whistling Woods and I am pleasantly surprised by the eagerness media companies are showing in requesting for, and at times, demanding certain students who they have interviewed for internships. It is a testament to the entire academic team of Whistling Woods that even after just a year’s education; they are still sought after by the industry. This solidifies our belief that, with the education we are providing the students, they will truly be the Next Generation of film-makers”
