Whistling Woods associates with Sony Pix as on- ground partners for Gateway
January 10 , 2008

Gateway is a SonyPix-produced first-of-its-kind-in-India reality show with a goal tofind the next Indian director for Hollywood. With organisations like SonyPix and Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment involved, the show was looking for an on-ground location partner of equal world-class stature. And in Whistling Woods International, they found the same. With state-of-the-art technological infrastructure and a beautiful 4-acre campus, this is the perfect location to shoot this show.

This being the first of its kind reality show in India, great effort has gone into the planning of the same by both SonyPix and FACE Productions, the production house shooting Gateway with regular & consistent inputs from the team at Whistling Woods International. The show would initially focus on the multi-city selection of candidates. Once these top contestants are selected, action would shift for the next 2 months, to the 4-acre, state-of-the art film school campus of Whistling Woods International at Filmcity in Mumbai.

With WWI looking after their accommodation, running special workshops for editing & cinematography and providing its classrooms, shooting floors, studios, editing labs, sound labs, music recording studio, digital audio works suites, animation labs and light tables rooms at Whistling Woods International, the contestants are going to have a great time working on their tasks for each round of the show.

Subhash Ghai, Chairman & Founder WWI has this to say - “We are glad to associate with Gateway given that our 2 close associates - Ashok Amritraj and Sony Entertainment Television have taken this big step to do India’s first film-making reality show. WWI is going to be home for these short-listed contestants for the next 2 months. I welcome them into the Whistling Woods family and wish them all the best for the days to come and the tasks they need to accomplish
