Following meeting of the Whistling Woods Academic Advisory Board, actor Dilip Kumar composed his thoughts as he planted a sapling next to the main entrance to the campus:

"its a lovely beginning!
road for a beautiful beginning!
can see feet treading along!
treading along... step by step
for heights - achievements!
making history... "

The meeting was attended by writers Kamlesh Pandey, Sachin Bhowmick, Javed Siddiqui, Akash Khurana (Writer & Actor), Cinematographer Ashok Mehta, Sound Designer Rakesh Ranjan, Art Director R. Verman and Fashion Designer Neeta Lulla.

His wife, actress Saira Banu Khan accompanied him for the ceremony and stated, "Really marvellous for every aspiring newcomer to come and enrol into this grand institution - what a world of learning to be exposed to in every aspect of film making... To be equipped to step out into the world in step with the world's competitive cinema... I wish we would roll back a couple of decades and I could enroll too!"
