Overview
A director uses many skills to put a film with the help of her team. They have to have a keen sense of storytelling, a visual sense, some sense of dramaturgy (including working with actors) and a working knowledge of music – to deal with the various rhythms that a film deals with. This course attempts to introduce participants to some of the basic knowledge that one needs to even understand what a director does. There is, of course, much more to directing but this course will give a taste of what a director does.
