Dear Friends,

You may have seen Media reports about the Supreme Court of India's decision asking Whistling Woods to surrender back the land allotted to it for setting up the institute as the land allotment was made without following prescribed procedures. The Supreme Court dismissed our plea and has asked us to go back to the Bombay High court order passed in February.

While we had argued that we should not be victimised for acts of Ommission or Commission of those responsible for implementing policies, the same was not accepted although the High Court acknowledged that there was no quid pro quo in the allotment.

WWI will however continue as an Institute, as a World class institute even if the campus has to be moved outside the Film City. Under the High Court order we can continue to operate in the present Film City campus until July 2014. We want to assure you and all our stake holders, shareholders and students that our operations will not cease. We are examining other options and action will commence soon to ensure that there is a smooth transition to whatever maybe our new home.

You have been a pillar of strength and inspiration all through these years. We are sure we will continue to have your support.

Like our Chairman has said, "Land is never a strength of education, rather education is the strength of any land." And I am sure we will have all your support as all of you who have been to Whistling Woods will know that we have built this Institution with pure passion and have invested everything we have financially and emotionally to this dream.

Great things in life are only achieved when you passionately pursue them against all odds. WWI is one such passion. "You are not finished when you lose. You are finished when you quit. And we are not quitting." We may have tripped, but we have the strength and will to get up and run again. That is what we will do. Our commitment and the vision of Subhash Ghai to Media Education, World-Class knowledge transfer, Value addition to our students, stands. We are more determined than ever before.

As a team we are sure you are with the Team of Whistling Woods and will stand by us. We will make sure that this dream is not left midway. The challenges thrown up will bring the best of out of us. We are proud that the Faculty, Staff, Students, alumni are all with us in these trying times.
