Dear Mr. Ghai,

As parents, we sincerely thank you and and all the teaching faculty, without exception, for being so professional with the students. Our son mentioned to me that his supervisors have taken our place as his mentors. I will find it difficult to give you and the teachers a better compliment.

With the care and concern your institute has shown I am sure you will achieve your goal of making Whistling Woods a centre for excellence.

Thanking you all,

The professionalism is there from the start, even on our first projects we were working within budgets, working exactly how we will be in the outside world with producers and directors, so we know how the editors work, we know how the screenwriting process takes place. My experiences in this first seven weeks have been absolutely outstanding, I've never had so much fun. All the students are so creatively inclined towards filmmaking, so passionate. The faculty here is so awesome because we have them with us through day in and out, Subhashji is always with us here on campus whenever we need him around. It's amazing to see so many professionals who are working in the industry have been taking time out and trying to help us get through this whole process.

My experience here has been phenomenal, because I've been dealing with all these professionals learning every aspect, which is what I really wanted. Our teachers really are the best in the business, you are looking at the names that are working in the contemporary industry and we've been dealing with them on a day to day basis We are a complete cosmopolitan crowd here, people from every nook and corner of the country. You are sharing your experiences and making films together and learning about films together and i think that's exactly what i wanted when i heard of WWI. Its just fantastic.

Dear Mr. Ghai,

I must admit that there was an element of skepticism in me, when in your address to the parents on 2nd July you talked about our children now being your responsibility.

Now I want to acknowledge you for the sincerity of that promise.

Xxxxx’s being speaks louder than his words – and both his being and words tell me that sending him to WWI is the best decision I could have taken for his life.

You are an alchemist!
Regards & Best wishes,
Xxxxxx Xxxxxx

My son Xxxxx Xxxxx is home for his first visit since he joined WWI, I am absolutely delighted with what I see and hear. I would like to congratulate WWI for a lot of things. The seriousness of purpose, the discipline, the faculty attitude... great work, Mr. Ghai! A small but telling incident impressed me particularly. Xxxxx My son discussed a concern with the relevant faculty member that he finds himself not as passionate about Editing because he loses concentration for some minutes in the class. The faculty member showed him that his concern about losing those minutes is far more significant than the fact that he gets distracted. The gentleman just changed the entire focus of the issue by validating Xxxxx's strength rather than getting sucked into his anxiety and 'fixing the problem'! What is heartening is that this seems to be the underlying attitude at the Institute rather than an isolated incident. My congratulations once again to Mr. Ghai, Dean Kurt, the faculty and all the wonderful people at WWI!

I know it is a life changing experience, and this is just a start. At school I feel at home, even my gym is there, my yoga, my books...I have managed to sustain my life style...yes coming from Dubai, life style is a big word.
The school premises are well maintained, the staff are always welcoming and pay a lot of attention to details...As for the faculty, I am loving every class I attend and wish I could spend more quality time with each professor, they are a wealth of knowledge and experience and I just can't have enough...As for the management I can see and feel how devoted they are in constructing this institution, brick by brick, class by class and I know they believe, so I believe.

Respected Ghai Sahab,

At the outset let me congratulate for your outstanding contribution and mission of successful establishment of WWI; as the only world class media Institution in India. Media history in general and media education history in particular shall definitely record this historical event.

I personally have a strong emotional association with this new baby of yours; as my own daughter Ms. Xxxxxx Xxxxxx has taken admission to the first batch of WWI. After hearing her feedback as a student of WWI; my heart has become full of appreciation for you and your Institution. Your faculty requires specific mention for their professional standing, teaching skills, dedication & discipline. As a parent I consider it my duty to thank you and the faculty under the leadership of Prof Kurt Inderbitzin (Dean) for creating academic and work culture in the Institution.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Xxxxx Xxxxxx

WWI has changed my perception about what i wanted to do. I am more focused and determined about what i want and how to go about it. I have started to learn all aspects of the industry and I am developing a keen eye for filmmaking and film appreciation. I have already grown as an individual and have learnt so much from people from different parts of the world. I know there is a tough road ahead but with the passion that i came in with, I think it's going to be a ball ahead as we will move into our specialisations.
