| How to become a movie director |
Somebody once famously said "Directing a film is like climbing a mountain. It's frightening sometimes and it's usually lonely but you don't have to climb the whole mountain all at once." For those who have seen the coveted black chair with 'Director' embossed on it, its time you learn right here and now that it's not just about throwing your weight around the camera men and film crew. In fact, direction is an intense and highly stressful activity. It's about having the large picture of the film in your mind and coaxing those around you to bring it to life.
Direction calls for a comprehensive understanding of film making and a strong ability to relate to all types of people. A good director is a product of years of association with the film industry and with a keen understanding of what audiences are looking for.
