Our student, Bhavish Shah, from the School Of Design, worked on three visual design projects as part of his graduation thesis project – delivering on design interventions under standard industry conditions. His years in the BA Visual Communication Design programme held him in good stead in getting a grip on areas that were certainly challenging – brand identity, brand story, menu design, product listing, content production, brand guidelines, brand positioning, marketing strategy and content strategy. His restaurant branding project was sponsored by The Reform Design Studio (TRD Studio), Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
As a young designer he looked under the hoods of the businesses of the clients and conducted extensive research and design iterations, before arriving at the branding, visual identity and visual story-telling ideas for three separate food businesses – ‘Flip & Toss’, a Quick Service Restaurant catering to youth; ‘Go-Food'(GOFO), a Food Truck catering to office-going professionals, and ‘Athidhi’, an Indian restaurant being set up in Wiesloch, Germany.
