The Whistling Woods International Foundation has always been keen to include individuals from all walks of life. During the Celebrate Cinema 2019, an annual flagship event of Whistling Woods International, I was fortunate enough to collaborate with individuals from the Old Age Home. At 70 and 80 years of age, their passion and enthusiasm for even the smallest of activities was contagious. Working with WWIF made me realise that there is so much to education than a degree which promises a job. The organisation ensures that empathy and upliftment of the underprivileged is inculcated in their culture. It was a humbling and fulfilling experience.
I worked with several NGOs during my service with WWIF, conducted workshops for underprivileged children and also worked in slums. It was a phenomenal journey and a fantastic learning experience. All these wonderful possibilities strengthened my personality and gave me new insights on life as well. Whistling Woods International not only encourages one to develop academically, but also as a socially conscious individual.
