Cinematography | 3 month certificate program
What is Cinematography?
Also known as the Director of Photography, a cinematographer is the master of movement and light. Their role is to translate the script into visuals and shoot the video. While they may not be the one holding the camera, they are the mastermind behind deciding what the final video should look like – coloured or black and white, vibrant or dull etc. The cinematographer works closely with the director and helps them bring their creative vision to life.
In the Certificate program in Cinematography at Virtual Academy, you’ll learn about the role of a cinematographer, history and science of still cameras, types of light, types of grips and gears, camera angles and everything that makes one a great cinematographer. This course, designed by the industry experts, focuses on teaching about cinematography from the ground up to create fine Directors of Photography.
