Masterclass with Jane Borges (25th February 2026)
The Masterclass with Jane Borges on 25 February 2026 focused on her work as an author as well as her oral history archive Soboicar, which documents stories of migration among Konkani-speaking Catholics in Mumbai. Through the discussion, she reflected on the process of collecting and curating oral histories from within her own community. Presenting photographs and videos from her archive, Borges highlighted how collective histories are shaped by personal stories. The session helped students understand how lived experiences can be documented as valuable records of cultural hybridity.
