Photo Exhibition (25 March 2026)
The photography exhibition held on 25 March 2026 was the culmination of an immersive urban study by our BBA 1 students from the School of Media and Communication, organised as part of the Erasmus-funded VIIEW (Varied Interpretation of Indo-European Worlds) project. Through the lens of a heritage walk and the intensive workshop, “Bombay’s History through Art and Architecture,” students moved beyond the surface of the city to decode its complex DNA. The photographs mapped Mumbai’s evolving landscape, tracing how centuries of colonial influence and Indo-European exchanges have shaped the city we know today. By synthesising tangible landmarks and urban planning with the intangible narratives of the figures who built them, students learned to “read” the city’s architecture as a living archive. These images captured the intersection of a colonial past and a contemporary state, documenting the enduring spirit of a city that continues to reclaim and redefine its identity.
