FEBRUARY 13, 2020: 'ART DIRECTION FOR ADVERTISING II' COURSE-WORK PROJECTS BY THE STUDENTS OF BA IN VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGN
Based on any product of student’s choice, they had to develop an Ad-campaign of three advertisements for a magazine. This project helped them go through the same process an Ad agency would go in developing a campaign, right from the strategy to photography, copywriting and layout composition. Going through the process step-by-step, they came up with their own campaigns for brands they like.
They also worked on the films of their choice and took the dominant colour from the film and made an art film poster. The only constraint was to stick to only one colour for the whole poster. Based on this, they had to interpret what part of the story they want to tell about the film through posters keeping in mind, that it is the first impression of a film before you get to experience it.
